Only Connecticut hospital ranked

Yale-New Haven Hospital has been named one of the top hospitals in the United States, according to U.S.News & World Report's annual "America's Best Hospitals" rankings. For the first time, YNHH had a total of three specialties ranked in the nation's top 10: diabetes and endocrinology (8), geriatrics (9) and psychiatry (10). YNHH is the only hospital in Connecticut to be ranked as a top hospital in any of the 16 medical specialties.

Connecticut Magazine recently named 192 Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) physicians among the best in the state in its 11th annual "Top Doctors" issue. The YNHH doctors, who provide a wide range of specialties, were among 757 doctors throughout the state selected from the results of a questionnaire sent to 5,000 Connecticut physicians and then combined with Connecticut Magazine’s surveys from 2007-2009. national accreditation

Yale-New Haven Hospital has received a three-year accreditation as a Chest Pain Center with PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC), a non-profit international society dedicated to improving care for patients having heart attacks.
